Onrus Succelents

Onrus, Western Cape. A small village in the Overberg. An area with water restrictions still in place. Walking around it is heartening to see people and gardeners embrace more water-wise plants and gardening techniques. I found this succulent garden outside a small Townhouse complex. These three plants looked really stunning against amongst the other succulent plants. They will look good anywhere.
Aeonium arboreum. Aeonium arboreum, the tree aeonium, tree houseleek, or Irish rose, is a succulent, subtropical shrub in the flowering plant family Crassulaceae.

Echeveria lady aqaurius. Echeveria ‘Lady Aquarius’ is a graceful, evergreen succulent with large rosettes up to 8 inches (20 cm) in diameter, of delicately ruffled, soft blue leaves, adorned with pink edges. Depending on the time of year and sun exposure, the color of this elegant Echeveria will vary. A great addition to the sunny garden or decorative containers.

Orbea variegata. Orbea variegata is a species of flowering plant in the dogbane family Apocynaceae, known as the star flower. It is native to the coastal belt of the Western Cape, South Africa, growing actively during the winter rainfall season.
